Dress Code

At our dance studio, we maintain a dress code to ensure a productive and safe learning environment for all dancers. Our dress code is designed to promote freedom of movement while maintaining modesty and professionalism.

Ballet Jazz Modern Tap

  • Leotard/Ballet dress: Any color leotard
  • Tights: Ballet pink
  • Dance Leggings or Ballet Skirt: Worn over tights; black or solid color (no print) Optional
  • Shoes: Ballet slippers soft leather sole (no fashion shoes)
  • Shoes: Tan Jazz shoes with leather sole.
  • Tap shoes: Black
  • Hair: Ballet bun, short hair pulled back out of face held with elastic headband.
  • Male: White leotard, dance belt, black, grey or white dance tights or dance shorts, black Ballet shoes, black Jazz shoes. Hair out of face and eyes.

Theater Classes

  • Leotard: Any color leotard, may wear a solid color t-shirt over it.
  • Tights: Sun tan tights (optional)
  • Dance pants/leggings: black
  • Shoes: Tan Jazz shoes with leather sole.
  • Hair: Pulled back out of face. Long hair or braids must be swept back from face and up in a ponytail or bun.
  • Male: Solid dance shirt or t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black Jazz shoes or black dance socks. Hair out of face and eyes.

Hip Hop

  • Leotard: Any color leotard, may wear solid color t-shirt over it.
  • Tights: Sun tan tights (optional)
  • Dance pants, dance leggings or hip hop pants
  • Shoes: Hip Hop shoes beginning/1 split sole. Hip Hop 2 Classic High Top Sneaker
  • No Street Shoes: Avoid wearing shoes that have been worn outside into the studio to keep the floors clean.
  • Hair: Pulled back out of face. Long hair or braids must be swept back from face and up in a ponytail or bun.
  • Male: Solid dance shirt or t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, Black Hip Hop shoes. Hair out of face and eyes.

Music Classes

To foster a positive learning environment , students are expected to dress in a manner that is appropriate for a professional and educational setting, avoiding clothing that is overly revealing, offensive, or disruptive.

By adhering to our dress code, students contribute to a focused and inclusive atmosphere where everyone can concentrate on their academic and personal growth.
